Meet Maryland Bankruptcy Attorney and Estate Planning Lawyer Suren Adams

Suren G. Adams, founder of Adams Law Office, LLC, is a member of the Maryland Bar Association, the Prince George's County Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. Suren currently resides in Bowie, Maryland with her husband, Pastor Charles A. Adams, Jr. She was born in Guyana, South America, and moved to Durham, North Carolina with her family in 1978. A few years later, the family relocated to College Park, Maryland. Suren obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland in 1994 and then completed course work for a Master of Arts degree in English with a specialty in Rhetoric. Suren then obtained her Juris Doctorate degree from George Washington University Law School, where she received honors for Legal Research & Writing, participated in the Government Contracts Moot Court Competition, and was a member of the Corporate Law Society, Black Law Students Association, Evening Law Students Association, and Christian Legal Society. Suren is also an active and long-time member of Hope Christian Church in Bowie, Maryland.

Suren's legal experience includes years of personal injury work in two prominent Montgomery County law firms.  She has also worked in the General Counsel's office of a major utility in the Washington metropolitan area handling general corporate law and contract matters. In addition, Suren's experience includes working in a “big-four” accounting firm in the areas of general corporate taxation, financial services, state and local taxation, accounting methods, quality and standards, and real estate taxation.

Suren's goal is to provide each client with individualized legal services that go above and beyond what is generally expected from lawyers today.
